Role overview

You’ll help structure product ideas, turn messy notes into crisp requirements, and sit in on real user conversations. This role is ideal if you enjoy both strategy and execution, and want to learn how modern AI products ship in the real world.

Responsibilities

  • Turn raw inputs into clear user stories, PRDs, and acceptance criteria
  • Support lightweight user research (calls, notes, summaries, key insights)
  • Coordinate small deliverables across product, engineering, and ops
  • Maintain documentation quality and keep execution unblocked

Requirements

  • Strong written communication and structured thinking
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and moving fast without losing clarity
  • Basic understanding of product development (features, scopes, iterations)

Nice to have

  • Figma / Notion / Jira familiarity
  • Interest in AI products and workflows
  • Prior project or internship experience

Internship compensation

Internships can be paid or unpaid depending on scope, location, and legal constraints. In the UK, unpaid arrangements are typically only feasible in limited situations (for example: genuine volunteering with charities/non-profits, short work-shadowing/observation, or certain structured course-related placements). If the role involves productive work that benefits the company and looks like a “worker” role, it generally must be paid at least the National Minimum Wage. We will always structure internships compliantly.

Note: This is general information and not legal advice. Final structure depends on the role and jurisdiction.

Company culture

Upsilon is product-led. We build and operate our own software products. We move fast, but we care deeply about clarity, reliability, and outcomes.

  • Small teams, real ownership, and direct feedback loops
  • Ship fast, but don’t ship sloppy
  • We value clarity, reliability, and thoughtful execution

How we work

  • Short feedback loops, clear ownership, and high trust
  • Documentation that’s minimal, but actually useful
  • Execution quality matters — reliability is a feature
