Deployment & DevOps Intern

Role overview

You’ll work on containers, CI pipelines, basic infrastructure hygiene, and observability. Your work makes releases smoother, systems more stable, and failures easier to diagnose.

Responsibilities

• Improve CI pipelines and release automation
• Support containerization and environment consistency
• Add/upgrade monitoring, logging, and alerting basics
• Document deployment flows so the team can ship confidently

Requirements

• Comfort reading logs and debugging step-by-step
• Basic understanding of containers (Docker) and deployment concepts
• Strong ownership: you follow through until things work reliably

Nice to have

• GitHub Actions / CI experience
• Basic cloud familiarity
• Infra-as-code curiosity

Internship compensation

Internships can be paid or unpaid depending on scope, location, and legal constraints. In the UK, unpaid arrangements are typically only feasible in limited situations (for example: genuine volunteering with charities/non-profits, short work-shadowing/observation, or certain structured course-related placements). If the role involves productive work that benefits the company and looks like a “worker” role, it generally must be paid at least the National Minimum Wage. We will always structure internships compliantly.
